new strategy: contributor real time search assist

Jeffrey Isaac Greenberg

Question

PAlamy performs searches for buyers;
but should PAlamy institute an
automated system where contribs
can be informed of requested searches
so contribs can assist PAlamy-buyers...?
contribs will know their own individual keywording
style the best & may find what buyer-PAlamy don't...
how often are sales lost due to lack of contrib input...?
system can be set up so buyers are "hidden" & just their
needs are seen by contrib...

anything "real time" might lead to a feeding frenzy...

here's example how it might work
buyer wants image of houses on Lanster Way in Mandonpool;
but buyer don't know what houses look like ahead of time;
contribs with photos of houses in Mandonpool didn't  include Lanster Way in tags;
(Lanster Way is a very ordinary street in a very ordinary neighborhood)
in new "search assist" tab, buyer-PAlamy inputs "houses Lanster Way Mandonpool"
that is sent ONLY to contribs with Mandonpool images to investigate & respond...

That is why I always put in street names. Although I may have missed a few in my earlier days.

Thanks for the explanation. That would probably help avoid the feeding frenzy. Doing things in "real time" sounds like a good idea.  Just providing outdated lists of subject needs tends not to work very well IME.

Interesting idea. I'm sure there will be an AI solution for that in the not too distant future.
