  1. We are not sure about this yet. It may even be a very good way to get lots of brownie points if they now count toward regular sales. Novel Use didn't. wim
  2. B and H was on 17th afaik. One of those streets called Photo Street. Ahh Lens and Repro! Same block. (Frank Rubio btw is here, just in case you need stuff repaired. Cameras - not computers. Again near B&H, the current one.) wim edit: oh my goodness: The Lens and Repro logo still remains.
  3. There's no definite answer, because we do not know how many times each of the other images have been zoomed or sold for those keywords. You do know that about your own images. But it's an easy test: change the keywords and the caption of one image and see how it behaves after 24 hrs. I would take an image from somewhere in the middle to start with. Then with an image that has been zoomed and sold before. The same for an image that has been zoomed or sold before with that exact key phrase. Before you start changing all keywords of your 18 thousand images: the ranking is totally different for all other search phrases, unless you are one of the top sellers. (And even then.) How do you recognize a top seller? Their images appear to the front of the 1st page at very short intervals. The regular interval between 2 of one's images is around 20 images. This used to be per pseudonym, but is now per contributor. For an illustration of this try a search for something very common e.g. London. Just use Relevant. (But do check the difference with Creative.) Try to figure out which pseudonyms are actually one contributor. One is very simple. And note how close the images appear together. wim
  4. Yep. I will take note of Sea Horse Ravintola. I see it's near the Design Museum. Next time. May take a while 😂 . (I've just found out only boomers use this emoticon.) We did have some very good food in Helsinki btw. Thanks to Google Timeline I can re-visit them. Ah I see Aino has moved. wim
  5. 3 low $ for me as well. All restaurants. Amsterdam, Madrid and Helsinki. wim
  6. From Prince to Pauper? Maybe as a start you can make the equivalent of this one: I don't think they're using cups in the UK, so you do have to figure out the equivalent there as well. Maybe with his coat of arms: A unicorn?! The harp seems to have undergone some makeover already: wim
  7. It's a civil case. No prison involved. Homeless maybe. wim

  9. Was it Robocopy? wim edit: SyncToy does something like that but I use Total Commander. (It can however do lots of damage if you're not careful.)
  10. Internal poster $$$ Country: District of Columbia 😁 Has Eleanor Holmes Norton been that successful? 😂 wim
  11. Full fare PU to the US. Plus a mid $$ to the EU of the Sydney Opera House. Educational. wim
  12. Thank you! - And still I'm not satisfied: I should practice some humility. Also I have been lazy during Corona/Covid. Photography-wise that is. Maybe with the rest too. I only do silly stuff like this. More reason for humility. Shame even. Must Work Harder. Maybe Monday. 😎 wim
  13. 316 for 9043 gross average 28.62 gross 55 distros 18x 100+ with 500 as the highest. You all know about the lowest. The volume is back at the level of 2017; 2018; 2019. But not 2016. $$ gross is just over the level of 2020. Which was at around half of 2016. wim
  14. You're absolutely right. I must have read it wearing my other glasses. I will correct it. wim
  15. Bump! Poll closes in a few hours! wim edit: Oops! Totally incorrect! Poll closes on 07/01/22 at 23:59 it says underneath the poll. January 7th.
  16. Let's hope they're not re-selling them. I would keep an eye out on Baidu. wim
  17. There have been some exceptional re-funds over time: a couple of defaults/bankruptcies (the Brazil distributor was pretty big) and a some credit card frauds. PU's are usually paid by cc. Some very late re-funds have been book projects or calendars that got cancelled. Calendars therefore can take very long before they have to be reported by the client. I have seen complete calendars offered online with all images (including some of mine) that later turned out never to have made it into print: not enough takers. Now with Covid/Corona I can imagine lots of scenarios like that including the most definite default of them all. wim
  18. 29 for 506 gross No 15cts to China for me, but 2 for 17cts to the UK. Do we count those? And the one 21cts to the EU? It's the Rocky doctrine: It's not about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. wim
