I'll add an image to see if it gets this thread off the ground. I don't usually post anything in the favourite uploads threads but having made the effort to go out in the rain to get some cycling shots on Wednesday I'm pleased I bothered although for the pathetic amounts paid if any ever get noticed I wonder if I need psychiatric help sometimes. Camped by the side of lagoons teeming with birds, fringed by fruiting coral trees, it has been a great pleasure to wait and see what turns up. And most amazingly, I'm able to upload from middle of nowhere thanks to Starlink! Not shy, he just circled around us, tongue out smelling the air. He just reminded me of the bulldog we recently took care of. Very powerful. Mertens Water Dragon (Varanus mertensii). Nature is unpredictable, after the fabulous surprise of a Mertens Water Dragon yesterday, an endangered species walking unimpressed right around us, there was not much going on today wildlife wise. We are still to see the resident big croc nicknamed 'Eric'. We were confident we would see it because staying put at the same place for a while is a sure way to attract a croc's attention. Mind you, we're not fishing, so are not very generous food givers. So I took the whole day to dive into the depths of my hard drive.
