Tass

"Russia has delivered more than 110 tonnes of humanitarian aid for the local population. The aid includes food supplies: cereals, salt, sugar, dairy products, tinned meat and fish. The security of the humanitarian aid convoy is provided by Russian military. Credit: Russian Defence Ministry/TASS"

Now distributing propaganda direct from the Russian Defence Ministry. This has to stop.

Beyond hosting Russian Defence Ministry Propaganda, these are Video Screen grabs.  odd that Alamy would allow distribution and promote these on their special Live News Feed.

May I suggest we decline to upload, with the exception of news images, or post on the forum until TASS is banned from the feed and images removed.

i will not upload until they stop promoting Russian propaganda.  I actually think we need to continue posting so that others are aware.

As someone who has lived and worked in the Ukraine, lived in Kyiv (Kiev) for three years and lived and worked in the

Soviet Union (Russia and most of the former Soviet Republics) for ten. I Support the Ukraine and Zelensky in their fight against

the invasion of the Russian army, BUT I do not think that cutting off TASS is in anyone's best interests.  I do think that

all material (images and captions) uploaded from Russia and the Ukraine should be reviewed by an experienced Photo

Editor and journalist before being posted.

My point was against TASS  or any Russian agency hosting my images.

TASS being government owned is a priority to me. Alamy is hosting Russian Government Propaganda, with no validation nor disclaimers.

What, no wound dressings for civilian use? I wonder if that aid convoy happened to be 40 miles long with tanks for an escort? Pushing Russian state propaganda can’t continue.

We continue to monitor the fluid situation regarding submissions to our news feed from Russian contributors.  Having PA media as our parent company means we are in continual dialogue with the other leading news agencies in the industy on our approach to this issue, to ensure we are aligned.

Without going into too much of the detail here (as it wouldn't be appropriate) we are taking a number of actions regarding payments to certain contributors and ensuring accuracy of captions and keywords on our news feed. On this latter point, we work through them as quickly as possible and make sure nothing is sent out to news desks which is not factual. The examples cited in this thread have already been amended as part of this process and access to upload will be further limited during times where we cannot actively monitor as quickly as we would like.
