I just had a record sale, for me. Are you ready? You probably should sit down for this one.   10.......cents. 

The only way I can beat that is if I have to pay the "buyer".

I've been submitting for ten years and sales have been a bad joke this last year and it can't just be Covid.

Fortunately, I haven't had any of these tiny sales yet (touch wood). However, it sounds as if Alamy now has distributors -- e.g. in China -- that are essentially microstock agencies. It was bound to happen. No?

Think of the silver lining. 

 

 If some poor naive person, perhaps running a small business or whatever, nicks that picture they will get charged maybe $1000 by a copyright chasing business. 

 

That is the mad world we are in.

 

Lunatic low prices for those with the purchasing power and stock agencies competing to undercut each other using us as pawns.

I don't like to boast but I've had several that were bigger than that.

Ive never been as low as 10c but had a couple of 25c last month- worldwide use !!

 

I haven't spent the funds yet!!

Yep - I just had a similar record sale drop in (11 May)

$0.10

after distributor and Alamy commission - I’m left with $0.03. !

 

Shows up as “bulk discount, flat rate”
