Foxytoul
Je suis nouveau chez Alamy et je ne sais pas comment partager l'adresse web contributeur de mes photos avec mes amis. Lorsqu'ils font une recherche avec mon pseudo, ils n'obtiennent que l'adresse de certaines photos et non pas l'adresse de mon portfolio sur lequel j'ai plus de 8 000 photos. Merci pour aide
Steve F
Salut, J'espere que tout va bien avec le nouveau lockdown a Paris. Vas-y sur ton Alamy Dashboard, en-dessus il y a l'option pour 'Your Alamy Portfolio Page', cliquez sur 'Go to your Alamy portfolio page'. Et puis juste en-dessus de ton nom, il y a un lien pour partager ton portfolio 'Share this portfolio'. Steve

I used to include some local language keywords for appropriate images until Alamy asked us to stop, and I get search results from them, but occasionally I'll get a French or German word in my measures that I certainly didn't put in myself- I've checked. They may well have led to the odd sale. Edited March 28, 2021 by spacecadet

Salut Genevieve, merci ☺️ I wouldn't be surprised if those are actual tourist board replies, the aussies can be even more sarcastic than the brits! Ah, well... Take a trip with me down memory lane. I hated French at school, but when I was choosing what do in my gap year at uni, it was either go to work for a company for a year, or take a year out in France, Germany or Spain studying. My thoughts were, regarding working for a company, I'm going to be working my whole life anyway. OR I could go on 'holiday' for a year.... So I took a gap year in Strasbourg to study civil engineering in French. And at the same time, my first gf was French - who I met when I was studying in Cardiff - and she was studying to be a translator. She did a LOT of work on my French with the idea being we would live in France. Fast forward a few years and I met my future wife at 28. An Austrian. So I started learning German at 29. Painful, no relation to the Latin languages at all! ....I just turned 40 so the French is all a long time ago. My German is probably more fluent these days, but my French is still better overall. In one of those ironic twists, my brother is married to a French woman and doesn't speak a word of French. C'est rigolo la vie, non!?! 😆 Felicitations pour ton anniversaire a venir! Or is that Alamy's translation software doing that? it's Alamy doing the translation, it generally does a good job if original word in English, though for some specific terms it is sometimes advantageous to have the local naming convention also in there, so Foxytoul may have an advantage in those, but it would also assume the original was in English if word exist. So i would assume if you had "location" i.e. rental in French, it would likely fail to find it, since Alamy.fr would have assumed it was the English word "location" i.e Place. Note that default Alamy does not translate back non-English words into English which seems to be the majority of searches, and probably would not also into other language mirror sites.
