Using new iPhone 12 Pro Max in camera RAW Mode

tab62

Question

Hey folks,

Recently, I purchased the new iPhone 12 Pro Max to replace my Canon dSLR due to health issues (bad back).  I was excited to hear the new iPhone could do RAW images and 4K- I've been doing mircostock since 2011- thus took my first batch only to get rejected due to camera need meeting the required standards- my first reject ever.  Does that mean I can no longer submit images to Alamy due to my camera replacement?   Please help...

Thanks

Tom

You should have read about Alamy's camera requirements:

https://www.alamy.com/contributor/how-to-sell-images/guidelines-for-submitting-images/

https://www.alamy.com/blog/alamys-rough-guide-to-digital-cameras

- actually cannot understand that you haven't - or seen discussions in the forum.

You can, however, submit iPhone images to Alamy's Stockimo - which we are not allowed to discuss here. Search and contact Stockimo - or download the app. We cannot discuss Stockimo further here.

Another solution would be to obtain a Sony RX100 (versions 3 to 7, I think) - which is an acceptable camera for Alamy. There are various threads about these cameras in the forum - search.

One of the threads is here:

A link on Alamy's own site will probably be OK: https://www.alamy.com/contributor/help/stockimo.aspx

My new phone has 108 megapixel. It's also incredibly heavy and big. How big is your phone and how far can your phone...  Hmm let's maybe not get into that. 😂

Also let's not get into possible workarounds either.

I did just take the scales out and my Sony RX100M6 is 50g more than my new phone. The old phone has half the size and the weight. Why on earth did I do this? 🙈 https://tweakers.net/g/s/bonk.gif

Please reinforce your pockets. That is, if any of them are big enough to hold the phone. Or...get a neck strap pouch for it, but first be sure you have a good bone doctor or neurologist.

Then find a friendly bar and say, “mine is bigger than yours”. Have your boxing gloves on.

I was surprised to see this in the link Wim posted. I thought if you hadn't signed up to Stockimo at the beginning you were stuck with 20% but apparently not.....

If you were an Alamy contributor before we launched Stockimo (Feb 4, 2014), we’ll give you the same commission split you have with us through Alamy (50% compared to the Stockimo standard 20%).
