Joe
Any mushroom experts out there? Are these Parasol mushrooms? Growing in woodland shade - north east England. Thanks in advance Joe
Cryptoprocta
Sorry, can't help except that parasol mushrooms have a 'ring' on the stem under the cap, and they're overall browner than those in your photo.

Gina Kelly
I was also thinking ink cap - pleated ink cap maybe?
Allan Bell
If you can remember the height and diameter of the cap I suggest you look up COPRINUS NIVEUS. Not an ink cap but has the appearance of the fungi in your shot. Allan
Starsphinx
Fascinating subject fungi - used to know a bloke into them years ago and a lot of times he would not give an ID until he had the spores under a microscope to check. Although he did assure me the purple ones growing near my house were wood blewits - great to eat and considered a luxury item in supermarkets.
