Hellonearth
I have uploaded two batches this week and in both cases the metadata ie,captions and tags was not loaded. I now have to cut and paste individually for each image which is infuriating, Has anyone else had the problem or am I doing something wrong? gvallee
Strange, I uploaded a batch two days ago, no problems. I chose the super-tags this morning. Can you see your keywords/caption in the jpgs you sent to Alamy? Are you using the correct fields pre-upload? Gen

Maybe you have your caption in a wrong iPTC field? You should be using "Description" field for captions and "keywords" field for tags
Hellonearth
Yes I checked tags and captions are in the correct IPTC fields in the jpg. One thing I forgot to mentioned is that I uploaded via the website and not via FTP

Betty LaRue
In the past, I occasionally uploaded an image that lost my metadata. I'd go back and check in PS and it was there. But most of the time it was because I thought I'd keyworded an image when in fact, it had slipped past me. Maybe I'd selected a group of similars to tag at the same time but forgot to select one. It's happened once since the changeover, with one image. It was easy enough to fix because I had a similar uploaded at the same time that did have most of the tags I wanted, so I just selected both images, and the tags of the first appeared grayed out on the second one, but just needed to be selected to be applied. Can you not do that? No copying and pasting. Betty
Phil Robinson
I had this problem recently with some news images. I had changed from ViewNX2 to ViewNX-I software for captioning and as they were news pics, I was, unusually, working with JPEGS. I found that I couldn't add captions or keywords to JPEGS - the info showed up in that program but didn't transfer. RAW and TIFF work fine. I had this problem with another editing program I tried a while back. I have gone back to using ViewNX 2 which doesn't seem to have this glitsch. Were you working on JPEGs? NYCat
Yes I checked tags and captions are in the correct IPTC fields in the jpg. One thing I forgot to mentioned is that I uploaded via the website and not via FTP You don't say if you use Lightroom but that export dialog has some different choices for exporting metadata. Perhaps something has been accidentally changed? Paulette
