  1. I sale this month for a nett value of 50 cents. I have had 15 sales this year, one of which netted me $75. The other 14 sales together netted me $73.45, an average of $5.25. For the last 2 years I put all my eggs in the Alamy basket and I have twice the number of images here than anywhere else. I am changing that as quickly as I can because I am earning more elsewhere. To make matters worse I still have uncleared sales from January.
  2. 123RF have a location field which they introduced several years back but it is optional. Kevin
  3. ` Tactfully, I apologise for the mistake in the first sentence but I do not believe it invalidated my point which is open to debate.
  4. So that equates to 1 per year per 10,000 images assuming the requests were all fulfilled. In value that would be 6 x 2000 euro = 12,000 Euro. A certain well-known microstocker Steve Heap earned 36,000 USD last year from approx 10,000 images on MS. 6 times that would be 216,000 USD per year or 1,080.000 USD over 5 years. Food for thought? Kevin
  5. Well good for you but equally how frequent are these requests? I imagine that there is more chance of selling 2000 euro worth of microstock than there is of receiving one of these requests. However, as you have over 61000 images, you can perhaps give us a good idea by telling us how many of these requests have you had in the last 5 years.
  6. I can only see that this makes sense and I am glad that I am not the only one that sees this. Kevin
  7. Another abysmal month. Just 1 sale for 7.99 nett. This following on from Januarys spectacular result of 5 sales for 9.95 nett. I have over 6000 images on Alamy now. Over the last 12 months, my port has gone from 4800 to 6300 whereas my port at the microstock site has gone from 1100 to 2400. My total sales on the microstock are only 25% less than my Alamy sales despite the huge difference in port size. Over 3000 of my Alamy port is exclusive but not marked as such and I have changed all of them from RM to RF in readiness for loading to microstock sites. It seems the sensible thing to do until such time sales at Alamy improve ( I won't be holding my breath) Kevin
  8. Blow me down with a feather if the magic hasnt worked! Sale of image today for $19.95 gross.
  9. I know how Marb felt as I also have no sales in Feb. Perhaps the forum magic might work for me too!
  10. Nobody upgrades on a live system which is why I have asked Alamy to be honest about their problem.
  11. Alamy, may we please have an update on the situation with measures? You obviously have had a major glitch so please come clean and tell us the problem. Would also appreciate not having our intelligence insulted by claiming you are updating. I believe most contributors are generally sympathetic to Alamy and will appreciate some honesty (even though that sympathy would appear to be eroding somewhat)
  12. Pathetic! 5 sales for a net total of 9.95. Yes you read that right nine dollars and ninety five cents and we havent even had the cut to 40% yet. With 2/3rds less images I had 6 sales of 2.48 on the best known microstock site. No prizes for guessing what I am thinking. Kevin
  13. Yes, but I would probably sell it more than once!
