  1. I uploaded 51 images yesterday but they are still processing with grey boxes. I should have uploaded just a few at a time, I know, but I forgot. Now I am not sure what to do. In the past if I reuploaded, some of the orignal ones eventually came in and then I had two of some images, which is a mess. I wish I could just delete the ones I uploaded or clear them some way and start over. Should I just assume that those are forever stuck and re-upload, or just wait indefintely to see if they go away or something? When I did that before (yes, I should have learned my lesson) it took weeks or months for them to go away. I'd like to know how Alamy would want me to handle this situation or how other contributers do it. Thanks.
  2. Hello guys, im a new contributor on Alamy. Hope sales have been good for you all. As a illustrator that works with vector mostly i was quite surprised to see that they sell all vectors for 9.99 as opposed to photos/illustrations where there are alot of pricing options. So my question is - for a contributor, whats the advantage of uploading the vector file instead of only the jpeg? It seems like uploading the vector file will limit the amount of money he can make with the sales. Would love to read your opinions on this before uploading my work.
  3. Hey everyone, I submitted my 3 photos to start, and of course it was rejected. There was an explanation saying "Soft or lacking definition," and "digital camera not suitable." My camera is a Sony Cyber Shot 50X zoom DSC-HX400V. Its a nice camera with 24mp photos but I used zoom which softened it, I should not have. I tried to submit 3 new photos without zoom, but it wont accept them. When I get to stage two where you upload, it automatically loads the failed tests instead. I tried 5 times but all the same results. Have I been banned because of my camera? I was looking at a used Nikon D7100 today to buy, but if I spend all that money (I'm a ellementary teacher), will I be able to upload the photos if my account has a ban or something on it because of my old camera? I love taking photos, and I live in Taiwan with some unique things that may contribute to Alamy. Any help would be appreciated. I bet you head this story a 1,000 times. Thanks, Jennifer Chen-Taiwan
  4. Hi there, I'm trying to undestand how to submit editorial images: should I upload my pics as usual or should I follow another procedure? Where can I specify that those specific images are for editorial use only? Thank you for your help

    Web uploader

When are you finally going to create a way to upload and submit images and video over the web? I feel like Alamy has been left behind in the stone ages. Until this is created it is not worth my time to create a spreadsheet with all the metadata and mail a hard drive. It needs to be an easy submission process like Pond 5. Their system reads all the metadata that has already been embedded in the file so that when it is uploaded I simply have to attach the necessary releases and click submit. (reading iptc metadata is a must for the upload process). Are you working on this yet? If so, what is the timeline? Hopefully you will begin soon so that I can start uploading to you again. Thanks. Jake
