  1. Good afternoon My wife showed me how to work with the new Image Manager today, so I began to work on adding keywords. I have a number of images of fireworks, and one of them is in the green. So I thought I would take all of the keywords from one image and paste them into my other fireworks photos. Every time that I try, I get the following error message. You've exceeded the limit for tags on one or more of your selected images. Even when I deleted all of the tags on the second image, I still get this message when trying to paste in the keywords on the first image that is in the green. I looked for a search field on the forum page but couldn't find one. Any help or link to the answer to this topic would be much appreciated. Thanks for your help. JIm
  2. In the image manager, when I search for words containing foreign characters – in this case Danish (Æ, Ø, Å, æ, ø, å) – I get no results. One example. I have several photos with the word "Læsø" in the caption as well as among the keywords, but when I search for "Læsø", it says "Sorry, but we couldn't find any matches".
  3. I have quite bad arthritis in my hands, and I'm finding the keywording process more and more frustrating because of one simple issue. When keywording multiple images, many of the keywords show up as light grey when they only apply to some of the selected images. I want to select these to add them to all selected images. However, unless the mouse is COMPLETELY still when clicking, all you do is to move the keyword slightly. It doesn't apply to all images. I end up clicking on a keyword, it temporarily darkens, then goes back to grey because my mouse moved by one nanometre. This also happens when I try to promote tags to supertags. This is frustrating, as I find it very difficult to keep my mouse absolutely still and click the button at the same time, meaning it can take me 10 clicks (or more) to select each keyword. This is VERY frustrating! I really don't see why it's necessary to move a keyword anyway, as the order makes no difference (I know you can combine keywords by dragging and dropping) but surely clicking to select is a MUCH more common activity. Can the keyword be selected if you click anywhere within the box, not just on the text? Can it be selected if you move your mouse even a tiny amount? To move a keyword you need to drag the mouse a considerable (relatively) distance. This really is affecting my ability to keyword, and I believe it's a disability/access issue (as well as incredibly frustrating for most people, I'm sure!)
  4. When I use AIM on my 4K monitor and open the window in full screen mode, 50 thumbnails are opened and shown. Because the screen is not entirely filled with thumbnails, the automatic loading of more images does not seem to work. I currently work around this by making the browser window smaller, such that some thumbnails are not shown anymore. As soon as I do this, the automatic loading of more images works again and I can go back to full screen after a couple more thumbnails are loaded. Can AIM be changed to load 100 or 150 thumbnails initially? I believe that this may allow scrolling from start and does not need the workaround. A second issue is that the "Preview images" appear that small that I'd rather call them large thumbnails. Could the preview images on 4K monitors made larger please? (I believe this was already mentioned in another thread, that I fail to find)
  5. Last night I came across a wallpaper site, in Australia, that's offering 880 of my Alamy photos for wall murals. I presume the site http://www.customwallpaper.net.au/ is legitimate, in part, because it says the Alamy watermark will be removed from the final product. Most of these images are unreleased and really shouldn't be offered as Consumer Goods. At the time they were submitted I presumed lack of model releases would prevent them from being sold as Consumer Goods. With all the concern over marking some images "Editorial Use Only" life would be so much easier if we could do a quick search in AIM to find images that either do, or don't have, restrictions and need to be updated.
  6. I keyword and caption in Alamy Image Manager. I quite often click on an image and "zoom in" (i.e. I click the magnifying glass with a '+' symbol) so I get a better view of the image when I'm keywording. Quite often I make typos when writing my caption or keywords so my natural instinct is to press the left/right cursor key to move to the position in the text that I am typing that I want to correct... but in AIM it doesn't move the cursor.. it moves to another zoomed image, to an image I probably haven't even selected to caption/keyword. This is so annoying!!!! If I don't "zoom in" a picture while keywording, pressing the cursor keys has the effect that I would expect... it moves the cursor within the text that I am editing. Please change this behaviour so that hitting the cursor keys actually moves the cursor position in the text and doesn't change the image zoomed.
  7. Is there a wayto reverse match a photo in Alamy Image manger. Ie a photo sells, I click on the image in the sales history and it opens that image in AIM. I then want to find the submission upload that it came from. Is there a way to do this? Also is there a search function in the forum? Graham
  8. Query....recently had a number of images pass QC, so I go in and complete tags etc to a stage where the banner goes Green (Good Discoverability?). Go back in today and they show `Orange'... I have enough `Tags' and `Supertags', have completed the `optionals'....what more do I have to do?. They are `on sale...e.g. J0KTWA Any thoughts?
  9. I have uploaded two batches this week and in both cases the metadata ie,captions and tags was not loaded. I now have to cut and paste individually for each image which is infuriating, Has anyone else had the problem or am I doing something wrong?
  10. Hello, hoping someone can help with my issue. I am trying to add more details to my images on the Alamy Image Manager but when I come to 'save', it isn't saving. Have tried on two different computers and the same thing, just won't save any changes. Has anyone else had or having this problem? Any suggestions please? Carl.
