  1. Past hour
  2. Thereโ€™s an update on Johnโ€™s condition on his blog.
  3. Yes, that was my assessment as well, I mentioned above.
  4. That's just unacceptable and makes me angry. To Alamy: The image has got to be worth more to the buyer than 16 cents or if not please just don't sell them.
  5. I wonder if some folks are just looking at the low res blurry preview.... Anyone making comments should download the full res image 4,500 x 3,000 pixel image and then inspect at 100% (or 200% on a retina screen) before making a judgement. I can see #253 and #254 but very, very faintly. IMO It's the texture of the bark in the photo in particular that has lost detail (NR has obliterated it). The splintered wood on the other hand still looks sharpish because the higher contrast linear features it contains have been enhanced by the sharpening, but the more subtle texture has gone. Mark
  6. Thanks for the suggestions. I will have a try with them.
  7. I had several 0.02 with another agency, it was for China and I could not cut the country out of distribution. Therefore just cancelled my contract with that agency. On Alamy I so far did not have that low (with a very limited list of countries where I allow distribution and no NU of course) but it feels that we go that direction anyway. Had recently a ~$5 "standard" license of an RM image with nearly unlimited use allowed ๐Ÿ˜ž
  8. So did I answer you? Or you want me to elaborate something? Sorry for a mess in my initial post (i.e. "questions to your answer" instead of the opposite), was in the middle of a conference call...
  9. Today
  10. Compare the railings and cars I have ACR but only basic knowledge of the processes you are describing. Thanks
  11. Huge neon signs and video display on the side of a building in Piccadilly Circus in London with pedestrians and a London bus in front. England, UK
  12. Barely noticeable. I don't think a QC fail. I would maybe add a radial gradient mask and fiddle with the clarity/dehaze sliders. But I don't think you use Lightroom.
  13. Those fire ants are a real pest. Their tunnels are up to 30m long. They all come up after the rain. Their bite is painful and the blisters are very itchy and painful. They last a week. You don't want those ants in your garden, I can tell you.
  14. I don't know any of this - hence the question. ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ
  15. Don't eat your celebratory biscuit all at once now........
  16. Hall's Babbler - $ Amazing the number of bird licenses recently
  17. Just had a sale for 16 cents. W00t!!! I'm taking the rest of the week off!!! ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. Sorry, I do not see soft spots on these images at the available resolution. But there are several questions to your answer. In Photoshop. 1. Paint a mask by a brush on the desired area and apply the desired changes within it. 2. Go to Select and Mask environment, mask an area there, and make it going to a new layer. Than you can do whatever in that new layer and it will be on top of your background. 3. Use ACR as a filter, and paint a mask there, doing all adjustments available in ACR within the masked area. I think that you know all this though, so am not sure that I understood your question correctly.
  19. Once you see it you can't stop seeing it.... Thanks for the tip.
  20. I hardly see it, but you could try a spotting tool with a wide feather edge.
  21. Not particularly. I have soft spots for lots of people you included. Allan
  22. Is there a local correction tool - lasso or something - that can be used to increase contrast just in one area of an image?
  23. If it wasn't for Denoise I would not have uploaded as many images as I have up to date. Allan
