Phil Robinson
I've just had a sale reported from an image I uploaded on the 12th December 2013. From the subject and the price I suspect it is a newspaper. Is this a record?
Andy Holmes
I had to look it up, but you just beat me. Uploaded 3rd June, sale reported 6th July. However mine was a distributor sale which lengthens the supply chain a little.
spacecadet
6 weeks. Until 2012 I only had one sale in the same year as uploading.

Phil Robinson
This one wasn't live news - but at $24.24 it looks a bit newspaperschemy. Only in net revenue so far - I'll find out more details tomorrow.

John Mitchell
If you have a very fast -- faster than the speed of light -- Internet connection, you could theoretically upload an image today and have it sell yesterday.
Sue Norwood
My fastest- Taken 19th September 2012, uploaded 28th September 2012, sale reported 3rd October 2012. I haven't sold anything else nearly as fast as that, but perhaps if I uploaded a few more images instead of hanging around this forum........... Martin P Wilson
If you have a very fast -- faster than the speed of light -- Internet connection, you could theoretically upload an image today and have it sell yesterday. Doesn't need to be that fast, even dialup would work - just needs to be faster than speed of time. Upload just after midnight in Japan or Australia and make sale within about 18 hours in the US (esp west coast) and the sale date will be yesterday! (have about 10-12 hours to do it in the UK). Would have to be News I guess to that. That is of course if Alamy uses local time for upload and sale rather than converting everything to Alamy UK time. Phil Robinson
I know they can sell, theoretically, as soon as they are uploaded - it was the reporting date that surprised me. Newspapers usually take months.
