Jeffrey Isaac Greenberg
upper east facing balcony beachfront hotel, 1-night stay; https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo/daytona-beach-shores-beachcombers-view.html Sony RX10 IV 28-600mm zoom at ~400-600mm sky at sunset not dramatic, lighting flat drab; (put cursor over each image to imitate what scene looked like pre-processing) processing: some brightening, increase contrast, intensify colors whilst shooting I had unsettled feeling I was missing a better non-ordinary composition; did I ???😱????😱????😱??? how would others shoot this situation at this time if devoting 15 minutes to it? or better process it...? OK to copy-reprocess, thanks in advance Edited September 8, 2023 by Jeffrey Isaac Greenberg

NYCat
I see them, Jeff, and I love what you did. 2RM38TY isn't as interesting to me as the others. I'm definitely not the expert on processing here but I would have tried a bit of dehaze. I only use Lightroom and I find the dehaze needs to be done only very slightly. I think you also have it in Photoshop. Paulette
spacecadet
I assume you've excluded the sky for the reasons you gave. Maybe tighter crops on a couple of those, a bit more clarity and vibrance (LR)? The one with the birds is the standout, cropped top and bottom to a letterbox improves it- but I wouldn't have cropped my sub either, it's a job for the buyer. Gorilla Dave
…I think the processing is fine, captures the atmosphere. I’d say the pics with fewer people work better and you could have done some verticals. 2RM38TY could be worked on in Photoshop to remove the two in the bottom left so you just have the cyclists. Also the image 2RM38TY would have been better as a vertical giving the top cyclist room to move into. Allan
John Mitchell
Nice series of images, Jeff. I downloaded 2RM38Y, my fave, and experimented with applying different photo filters (e.g. blue, cyan, cooling, etc.). You can get some pleasing effects. Not sure that's what your after, though. Jeffrey Isaac Greenberg
People of The PAlamy Forum, thanks for your responses, advice !! perhaps reason I thought I was missing something "je ne sais quoi" was because of lack of more "decisive moments" like wave jumper 2RM38YJ (caveat: don't know if "decisive moment" photos sell better) yes, 2RM38TY should've been vertical & advice to remove 2 walkers is brilliant. They don't "add" to image...? 👍_ 👍_ 👍_ 👍_ 👍 May turn 2RM38TY into acceptable horizontal...? Coincidentally, I just started using PS 2023 Remove Tool ! regards jg Edited September 10, 2023 by Jeffrey Isaac Greenberg
