He's back... and he's in business...

Recommended Posts

Walking round Goole, an East Yorkshire town (and port), I did a double-take when I saw this new shop establishment… so duly took a pic. A quick Google search turned up nothing by way of explanation. Goole is not the sort of town given to creative expression or surreal art installations… so I’m still baffled. Any ideas... or possible explanations??

I need to see a Vet and Goole is only an hour away from Lincoln.

I hope the vet doesn't decide you need to be put down.

Because I'm in small-town Pennsylvania, I had to look three or four times before I noticed something that a British person might think is odd. Very many businesses around here use Jesus in the signage.

Sometimes John, sometimes. It's tough to describe just how religious the people around here are.

Jesus in business, hmmmm. Does he do the books, pay the wages and attend shareholders’ meetings, or, in business terms, is he more of a sleeping partner?  😕

Sounds like  a bit of a problem with the second commandment there...........they can't all be Arians.

Looks like it. It's compulsory, apparently, something to do with 1776.

You mean the book 1776 by David McCullough?

No, something that was written then. I think it was about some rich folks rewriting the rules so they no longer applied to them. Hang on a bit, sounds familiar........
