new to alamy

I am new to alamy and I was curious to know about how much money I can expect to make.

With your current collection of images at zero, I would say your expectations would be zero too. You have to have skin in the game.

First of all we all know it is in the first place indirect about the money. Concentrate first to create a good collection of images. If you have patience enough the rest will come. Money will not come just that easy.

Good luck.

See the thread linked below as an indication of the money people are actually making.

Rinderart, nobody is going to take the time to explain all the details of Alamy to you . . . and they need not, because if you go to:

. . . and read every word twice you should get it.

Tipping a toe into the pond will earn you nothing. There are a number of Fine Arts agencies online (AFF is one, Artflakes another )- Alamy is a stock agency.

Good luck

Im new here also But sold my first stock Image in 1968. Im uploading only my 300/400 Best selling only Paintings first to get a sense or feel about sales. then I'll work on my 6000 Others. Gonna be a long time I assume.

I see that you have the images of your paintings set as RF. This means that customers can lease them for peanuts (don't believe the Alamy price calculator) and do virtually whatever they want with them. Not a good idea IMO. You might want to rethink this. As Ed suggested above, Fine Art America and sites like it are the best places to sell your paintings, not a photo stock agency like Alamy. Good luck.

Welcome to Alamy, Hindy & Rinderart!

Laurin, consider branching out beyond your fine art and submit football images & more....

Hindy, are your images RGB files, at least as big as 2400X3600 pixels, at least Photoshop quality Level 10, from camera on Alamy's approved list?

all the best - Ann

Keep in the mind that the prices quoted by the Alamy price calculator are nothing like the ones that you would actually see if you made any sales. Huge discounts are the norm.

I have about 500 pictures at Alamy and I was wondering, approximately, how much money should I expect to be making per month. If anyone could help me out with that...

I'm just curious, the answer doesn't have to be that precise. I just want to have an idea of how much to expect, after discounts and everything.

Thanks

I've read in another post you could expect one sale/month/1000 images, but that's obviously not a rule.
