Christopher Holt
Every so often I seem to get a month when my CTR hits zero, 0, & nada all at once. Usually, straight after a reasonably decent set of month on month figures, but such is life! February 2015 has been a case in point, but I haven't seen anyone else make mention of it as yet. From what can glean from the forums, this seems to correlate to the discussions on an Alamy re-rank. Any advice? Chris
Bryan
My, imperfect, understanding is that your rating is partially dependent upon your CTR, not the other way around, but it is indeed one of the hidden mysteries of Alamy.
John Richmond
Alamy have said that your ranking is determined on your previous 300 days worth of data (I assume sales and zooms compared to views) when a re-ranking is done. One month of CTR = 0 shouldn't cast you into eternal darkness.
spacecadet
Mine is pretty low but it has never been zero for a whole month.
Reimar
It seems the CTR graph hits zero at the beginning of every month - don't know why.
Alex Todd
Isn't it because the stats are for the month and not rolling so on the 1st of every month it will be 0 until zooms are recorded?
Reimar
Seems reasonable Alex. So if you have no zooms, you'll be at zero for some time. But I've never seen my graph match my monthly stats, so who knows.
Robert M Estall
I should avoid checking my CTO/views graph for the first few days of the month; it always starts looking like a bungie jump. Similarly I should adjust my sales period to the last 6 months, otherwise it looks catastrophic. This being a short month, this scenario is coming sooner. Christopher Holt
Thanks for the responses. Fair point about the CTR being for the entire month, but I was really pointing at how unusual it was to get zero zooms in one month when the months either side show a "normal" number of zooms. Previously this zero occurence conincided with a re-rank. I guess I'll just have to absorb the zeros every so often! Hey ho. :=)
