We've been given a huge list by a major client of some common areas where Canadian images are specifically required. Now usually we would tweet out individual needs via @alamycontent however as this is such a big list, we thought we'd post it here.

So, if you happen to be visiting Canada or are lucky enough to live there, here is a sexy shoot list of content you can get your teeth stuck into knowing full well that a major picture buyer is specifically looking for this stuff on Alamy.

Enjoy!

Additional note:

This is not in response to a current project per se - it's more of a ongoing need - they hope we can try and work to 'beef-up', or constantly refresh, the content as reflected in the list above.

Further, we should mention that the client understands that we currently have content for many of the items listed and also understands that some of the items may be unlikely to come by, but nevertheless would like to communicate the whole list.

Other than specific locations, brands etc, isn't this almost exactly what any stock photographer would have on their own "basic stock list" for whichever country they live in? The only thing I see different from what I'd expect for any country is the underlying "not American" theme :-)

That's a valid point, but it's encouraging to know that there is an interested client out there with ongoing Canadian picture needs. The majority of my Alamy leases have been and continue to be non-Canada subjects -- i.e. the shots that cost me the most to produce. It would be nice to see more sales action on the home front.
