It does nothing to you because the waves are non realistic, it's either the judges have never at a beach or  (more likely) the contest is an advertisement to the website that makes ai content.

Don't forget what Delaroche said first time he saw a daguerrotype in 1840: "Painting is dead" :)

Yes, as Rico pointed out above, the horizontal background waves don't make sense.

 

Anyway, I'd call it an AI mishmash rather than a photograph.
