1964 British car model

I have the one on the right as a 1964 Wolsley 1500.

What about the one on the left - is it the same? It looks smaller, or it that just an optical illusion?

Perhaps a Riley?

I tried both car registrations but they no longer exist.

Thanks for looking .

Lovely.

A crop of the badges might help- a lot of car were badged differently under different brands (cf. Austin/Morris).

But I think these are both Wolseleys- the Riley here

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riley_One-Point-Five

has eyebrows and a fatter grille trim. The side trim is different as well.

I think the 1500 was the only model of that design produced under the Wolseley marque, so they both have to be the same. Perspective is everything in that photo.

Thanks for the comments.

Looks more like Wolsley than Riley at 300%

My guess was an AA badge. We use a vintage one- nowadays the AA only give you a rubbish sticker.

I suppose it should be transferred to the Renault 12 now it's officially a Historic Vehicle.

The Kodachrome is dated May 1964 so looks like they had two brand new cars.

It depends where they were registered. In most areas if they were brand new they would have had a B registration.

I think these are the 1961 Mk III

My mistake.
