Local coffee shop and when I asked them the question they only knew the Thai version which I couldn't translate

Think it might be a 'viennoise' - very short and crumbly and little like shortcake (but much lighter in consistency) - the swirls are classic of that type of biscuit, but I'm not a expert ...
