Sally
Doing a Google search for one of my photos which sold recently I came across this, in which it is incorrectly attributed to someone else. Any idea why Google is doing that? https://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://l7.alamy.com/zooms/f29fb7dd130f4de6921bc3572c6dac7c/detail-of-the-east-gate-steel-rhododendron-flowers-at-the-royal-botanic-hypeh9.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.alamy.com/stock-photo/alan-dawson.html&h=447&w=640&tbnid=yCdxdQjQNPCEcM&tbnh=188&tbnw=269&usg=__g-vtiby5yoQEg2b10tFrgEvAaiE=&docid=rFuk-9GwGtrCyM

spacecadet
It's not being attributed to anyone else. It's just appearing in a Google search because Alamy generates search result pages for various search terms which Google can find easily. Even if it didn't, Google could find the image on its own sales page, here: http://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-detail-of-the-east-gate-steel-rhododendron-flowers-at-the-royal-botanic-137562693.html?pv=1&stamp=2&imageid=F29FB7DD-130F-4DE6-921B-C3572C6DAC7C&p=373051&n=0&orientation=0&pn=1&searchtype=0&IsFromSearch=1&srch=foo%3Dbar%26st%3D0%26sortby%3D2%26qt%3Dhypeh9%26qt_raw%3Dhypeh9%26qn%3D%26lic%3D3%26mr%3D0%26pr%3D0%26aoa%3D1%26creative%3D%26videos%3D%26nu%3D%26ccc%3D%26bespoke%3D%26apalib%3D%26ag%3D0%26hc%3D0%26et%3D0x000000000000000000000%26vp%3D0%26loc%3D0%26ot%3D0%26imgt%3D0%26dtfr%3D%26dtto%3D%26size%3D0xFF%26blackwhite%3D%26cutout%3D%26archive%3D1%26name%3D%26groupid%3D%26pseudoid%3D30075%26userid%3D%26id%3D%26a%3D%26xstx%3D0%26cbstore%3D1%26resultview%3DsortbyPopular%26lightbox%3D%26gname%3D%26gtype%3D%26apalic%3D%26tbar%3D1%26pc%3D%26simid%3D%26cap%3D1%26customgeoip%3DGB%26vd%3D1%26cid%3D%26pe%3D%26so%3D%26lb%3D%26fi%3D0%26langcode%3Den%26saveQry%3D%26editorial%3D1%26t%3D0%26edoptin%3D because the keywords are shown. spacecadet
I suppose we should be pleased that Alamy is promoting our images in this way. Hmm.

There's a sculptor called Alan Dawson, so maybe he produced the sculpture in the photo? This would make the keywords legit. Not sure if Alan Dawson, the photographer on Alamy, is also a sculptor? There's an Alan Dawson that plays cricket too.... Multi-talented OP - If Alan Dawson is the sculptor of that artwork in your photo it would be wise to put that into the caption too... I have not borrowed someone else's keywords! I resent the accusation in fact as I spend enormous amounts of time keywording. The name of the sculptor of the gate is Alan Dawson. However there is also a photographer called Alan Dawson which is why I was misled about the attribution.

I would have added the artist's name to the caption, since it was a detail photo of his work that we are talking about. (As a general rule, best to name check any other 'creator' - designer / painter / architect in the full caption of these sort of images..) "Detail of the East Gate steel Rhododendron flowers, by sculptor Alan Dawson, at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, Scotland UK" km

fotoDogue
It seemed odd that someone who spends an enormous amount of time keywording their photos would not associate their own keywords with a a particular photo. However, if I jumped to the wrong conclusion then I apologize.

If you can then your memory is working better than mine. i think this thread has probably reached its conclusion

All the keywords are relevant to the image, and not 'lifted' from anyone else's photograph She simply had the artist's name, Alan Dawson, as a tag, which by co-incidence is the name of another Alamy contributor km
