famousbelgian
I have only just noticed that Alamy have introduced a new watermark on all images. There used to be a cross before, now every image has "Alamy stock photo" on it. Great news I think. Anybody else noticed it, and does anyone know when it was introduced? Niels Quist
At first sight I found it more informative and more visible, but it seems to me that the watermark disappears more easily than the old one in some mid range / darker colours. When you click to enlarge the image further, the old watermark will show on the enlarged image. Same thing happens when you will post an example in the forum, which I would, it turned out to show with the old one.
spacecadet
I think it happened yesterday. There was a day's delay in the images ready sweep. perhaps it was to implement this,
Ed Rooney
Yes, Niels -- it seems a mixed bag. Don't know what I think about it yet. (Except that I hate change.)
Chris Burrows
It would be nice if Alamy disabled the facility to get an un-watermarked version of the picture, hopefully this is in the pipeline.
fotoDogue
I just noticed last night that when you mouseover an image, it now says www.alamy.com with the image code. Maybe the new watermark was introduced with that?
