Ed Rooney
There is a documentary out, or about to come out, depending where you are. It's Wim Wenders's film on the great PJ, Sebastião Salgado. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_salt_of_the_earth/?search=salt%20of%20th
Callie
will certainly be on the lookout for that Wim Wenders is one of my fave directors.
NYCat
I went twice to the recent exhibit of Salgado's latest work at ICP. It will be amazing to see the images on a big screen. Paulette
Joe Gaul
Thanks for bringing this to our attention Edo. Salgado and Erwitt are two of my favourite documentary photographers. I've always been inspired by the beauty Salgado could find in chaos.
losdemas
Cooool - thanks Ed, this film looks very promising. Along with many, I suspect, Sebastião Salgado is one of my all-time faves. Knocked out when I saw an exhibition of his in London many moons ago, now. For anyone in the UK, the release date is Friday 3rd July 2015 and you can set a reminder for when it comes out here. Callie
Went to see this today - don't miss it! The images look stunning on a large screen and listening to Salgado talking about them is very moving and emotional, what an inspiration.
Paulstw
I'm often easily insprised by great photographers, and also very "put in my place" by their work. I don't view it enough or watch it. Things like this you never forget, much like McCullin. I think I've watched it about 5 times now.

Look out for the Tim Hetherington documentaries as well. Very powerful. I saw 'Which way is the front line' on the BBC. I think it is on Netflix at the moment.
