Jill Morgan
Took this shot at the local airport: If I go by the classic plate on the car, it looks like it should be a 1961 Triumph. All you Brits should know. This is a 100% crop: Am I right? If so, on the plate its BT 7 1961. What would the 7 be for? Jiil
spacecadet
Austin Healey 3000. BT7 MkII, 1961-67. That's not a valid UK number plate. It would probably have been of the form ABC 123 We didn't have number plates you could date until 1964- e.g. ABC 123A Looks as if it's LHD, in which case it could have been in North America since it was new. The western US is a good place to source an unrusted one now. Something to do with the lack of weather. Edit- the one on the Wikipedia site is an LHD with an Ontario plate. Jill Morgan
Austin Healey 3000. 1959-67. That's not a valid UK number plate. We didn't have number plates you could date until 1964. +1 I know that's not a UK plate. Its a classic car plate that is issued here in Canada for antique and classic cars. So if I look on Wiki, its a 1961 BT7 Austin Healey 3000 Mark II 2+2. Jill
