I read this with a distinct sense of irony having sold a picture through Alamy this morning details below:-

I don't sell a lot of images due to my limited portfolio but.....so far this year I have sold seven (7) more images than last year (Jan-Aug 27th), and my gross is only 40% of last year's gross.  With 40 images sold so far this year, my gross hasn't evan cracked $1,000 US.

 

No, @Richard Tadman, it definitely is not just you.
