Jansos
Just a quickie...... is it better to use U.K. or UK / U.S.A. USA etc. when abbreviating? Play safe and use both - bit of a tedious pain, though.

Play safe and use both - bit of a tedious pain, though. I thought Alamy's search engine ignored punctuation, so there would be no need to add both UK and U.K. (for example). But, doing test searches for UK and U.K. returns a totally different number of images.... Mmm... UK returns almost 13 million images, but U.K. only returns about 0.3 million. Looking on AoA for the last month to see what customers typically use... %uk% over 3,800 searches %u.k.% only 2 searches, but both were for k.u.k, so u.k. wasn't used. %United Kingdom% 30 searches Mark Edited January 14, 2022 by M.Chapman

spacecadet
I thought all punctuation was ignored too- most certainly is. On the other hand, there have been less than 20 searches containing "u.k." in the last year, compared with about 50,000 containing "uk". I won't be worrying about it. I know which one to focus on now. Many thanks.🍻
