Its now time to cast your vote for your favourite in the November Challenge which had 'Cold' as its theme. Thanks to everyone who entered and as is always the case with these forum challenges there were loads of excellent shots. I have narrrowed them down to eight finalists and they are

I'm beginning to dread arrival of voting time for these challenges, for once again there are at least 2 finalists that I really really want to vote for.

Thanks Philippe for the little nudge. Voting closes on Saturday 7th at the end of the day here in Quebec, after which the next subject is set by the winner (which looks to be already decided at the moment).

OK everyone

 

Its not quite the end of the day here. Its about 4pm, but the results of this months challenge are clear enough that I will close the poll now and announce Julie as the winner. Well done Julie, another great shot (you won by Night challenge a few months back).

 

Thanks to all who submitted pictures and to all who votes. And Doc, what can I say. Not a single vote. If I were anywhere near you I'd stand you a pint by way as a consolation. I thought you cold picnic was a great shot, we have all been there, indefatigably picnicking in the face of cold wind, rain, etc.

 

Over now to Julie for the December challenge.

It was really cold and the snow was driving horizontally across the beach from the sea. For those interested it was actually shot on a 300mm which i think made the snow feel more intense...
