sharing my picture on a blog

I'm not familiar with Blogger but I'd imagine you could just right click on the image, copy the URL, and paste it into the portion where you want it to appear. It's not not unlike the way people share Alamy photos on this forum.

Click and drag works on my Blogger blogs.  One problem I have found is that Alamy can change the URL for an image over time so older posts can lose the image link.  For that reason I tend to upload images from my own HD with my own watermark on rather than using Alamy watermarked images.

Thanks, but neither method works. When I copy the link and past on blogger, I get the message that the image may be protected by password security, and does not display. When I drag it over blogger, I get the msg that "This page contains HTTP resources which may cause mixed content affecting security and user experience if blog is viewed over"

Sorry, you were right Alessandra, that doesn't work.  Try this:  Click on the Save preview button on your details page Alamy image and save it to your own computer. (Right click and Save image as does the same job).  On your blogger post click the picture symbol and then choose the Upload option on the set of tabs at the top.  Find your saved image and upload it.  You'll then be able to add it in to your blog post.

OH! That must be why 2 alamy images on my blog post recently disappeared. So I used the wordpress Photoshelter plugin to embed the images from my website, and added link to alamy port at end of post: http://fromlongisland.com/2014/01/meeting-alamy-ceo-james-west-brooklyn

Disappeared, Ann? I've not had that happen. Not yet. I'm on a Mac and I've got two blogs on Blogger, and I use only Alamy watermarked images. It's been a while since I've posted anything new on either of those blogs, one a collection of essays and memoirs, the other a small display of Alamy stock.

I think the way I did it was the same way I put images in this forum: I open two windows, one with my Alamy collection, the other where I want to insert the image (the forum or a Blogger blog). Then I just drag 'n drop the images in. I hope this still works. Blogger has changed its system once or twice over the years.

I think Blogger and Wordpress are different. I use both for various blogs. To the best of my (very limited knowledge) there's no Photoshelter plugin for Blogger, only Wordpress.
