Christy
Hi This image is from the BC Derby on September 8,2013 taken a few minutes after the end of the 1st race which started at 12:50pm. I thought it might serve as an editorial image. My usual approach to identify a jockey and horse is to look up the race stats, watch the replay, and confirm the identification by the horse number. And also by using the colours of the hat and the number on the jockeys hat and pants (and colours worn). However in this image neither the jockey or the horse are wearing their numbers. I also look for pictures of the jockey to confirm the correct identification. The winner of the first race was jockey Aaron Gryder riding Whatasenseofhumor. lhttp://http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g375/ChristinaStobbs/id%20purposes%20237.jpg~original However I can't find any pictures of Aaron Gryder that match, especially showing the longish dark curly hair. Thank you, kindly.

Thank you, kindly. Not sure of the track protocols in UK, but here, if that image was taken a few minutes after the race, that would be the strapper with the horse, not the jockey. And I'd certainly slap a watermark on such a large hi-res image myself . . . dd

Christy
Thank you, Dusty. The strapper! He looked so happy I thought this was the jockey with his horse. And of course this means the image is of no interest to anyone so I'll delete it. (it's only 1200 pixels) Nevertheless truly appreciated.

Thank you, kindly. I spent 10 years working with racehorses at Woodbine in Toronto. The image you have is not the jockey but the horses's groom after the horse has been unsaddled after the race. The jockey's dismount after the win picture is taken and go back to the jock's room to be wieghed with their tack and change silks for the next race. Very salable image, IMO. E.g., textbooks: good candid moment, minority person doing positive thing. keywords to include: job, working, ?Hispanic?, +
Jill Morgan
I agree with Jeff. Could work with articles on people working with animals, human-animal bond, etc. Nice shot as it does show the connection between the groom and his horse. Jill
Christy
Thank you DD, Mark, Jill, Jeff, and Danny for advising on not deleting the image and suggested key words. Truly helpful and very much appreciated. DD & Jill, Obviously I'm not an experienced race track patron. I visit because I adore horses and enjoy photographing them. Thank you, kindly.
