My first QC failure.

Recommended Posts

Alan,

Why would Alamy specify SoLD and camera shake as reasons for failure, if it couldn't process the image ?

Not sure why that should be Andy. Maybe a problem at Alamy's end in QC notifications.

Some of you are reading too much into this. I have had exactly the same thing happen to me. Without the camera shake.

Afaik there are 5 designations in Track submissons

1 - Passed QC - Now Manage your images

Pretty straight forward

2 - information.gif Failed QC

Also pretty straight forward: all images have the comment (Status): Failed QC and one will have the reason (Rejection reasons) for failing.

3 - Partially Failed

One or more images have the comment (Status): Image processing error.

4 - Unable To Process - resubmit media

All images have the comment (Status): Image processing error

5 - information.gif Partially Failed

One or more images have the comment (Status): Failed QC.

The other images have the status: Passed QC.

To be complete, there has been (may still be) a sixth possibility:

It is number 5 but in stead of Failed QC, the images that have a reason for failure, still have a Passed QC status.

This has happened to me once long ago with 2 images in one submission (DVD-309 images): 1 for size and 1 for poor exposure (it was an X-ray)
