geogphotos
Hello @ Alamy, When you are having your meetings at Alamy Towers could somebody put an item on the agenda about what you can do to motivate your contributors? We have heard nothing from management for several years and it always seems to be a case of jam tomorrow when it comes to new developments to help contributors. The blog while interesting is peripheral to the nitty gritty of contributor experience. Can we have some direction, some inspiration, some challenge, some reward, some MOTIVATION.....please😁 1
Sultanpepa
It's disincentive after disincentive unfortunately. The latest for me, which I fell foul of, was a news image selling for $7-$8 with the reason given that it was most likely through a baulk deal. There is no way news images can be collected for this meagre amount. Alamy aren't playing fair. Another image from the same upload sold for $95gross on the same day with the same licence details. The higher amount just covers the travel expense so although it's nice to hear from Alamy now and again there's only one thing offers incentive, decent returns.

Though I don't personally see how being exclusive makes any sense these days. I don't even think that it needs to be much. Just something, almost anything.....
Phil
The Alamy powers-that-be apparently have bigger fish to fry than communicating with and/or attempting to motivate contributors. https://cepic.org/news/emily-shelley-appointed-ceo-of-pa-media-group A glance at the roster reveals only one familiar name from the "old days" when Alamy communicated with contributors. Now it's crickets. https://www.alamy.com/about-us/ Edited June 8 by Phil add

I'm sure that they are all marvellous people though much of it reads like corporate babble to me. I suppose that is the work we are in.
