Steve Dorey
Hi All I am trying to invert an image in Camera Raw (15.3.0.1451) on a PC. (I am scanning paper negatives). I thought I used to be able to do it by dragging the points in Curves but it doesn't seem to work any more. Any ideas? All the best Steve
Vincent Lowe
Works for me (same version). When you select the 'Curves' dialogue you will see five buttons next to 'Adjust'. Select the second from the left - 'Click to select Point Curve'. Then you're good to go.
Michael Ventura
I don't know how to do it in Camera Raw but in regular Photoshop, it is Ctrl I (the letter eye). Or go to "Image" then to "Adjustments" and then down to "Invert" You could try Ctrl + I in Camera Raw and see if it works there too.

Works for me too with same version ACR on Mac Mark
Cal
Others have answered your question, but if you have Lightroom and only a few of these to do, consider trying the Negative Lab Pro plugin. It does quite a good job of processing negatives into usable positives and it saves an awful lot of faffing with curves manually. Steve Dorey
Many thanks all. Following Vincent's advice I tried again and got it working. I had been trying to drag horizontally, but it is necessary to drag vertically! All the best Steve
wilkopix
Several different ways to do this .. quick option is to open negative in Photoshop. Click Image < Adjustment < Curves .. at the top of the curves dialog box is the preset option, click that and there options for negative and colour negative. Then tweak away in curves to alter contrast etc. Hope this helps.
