MariaJ
I had a magazine sale yesterday (via distributor) and found it online. However my image was incorrectly credited. Not only with the wrong name, but with the wrong agency. This image is only on alamy. All the images on that page had the same credit. Just wondering if others usually take any action when this occurs, or are just happy that it's a sale. Maria
Niels Quist
I see this often with distributor sales, I haven't reacted. They credit the last link in the chain. It may even be encouraged by the distributor for local promotion. It may not help at all to react though Alamy and the photographer ought to have that promotion. Avpics
I've had one in a national credited to the big G. It was reported correctly, so I'll just take that as an honour to be thought of so highly!
spacecadet
Misattribution is actually a breach of copyright (s79(5)), but there's an exception for news, and I don't think anyone's been to court on that alone.
