AlessandraRC
What is it and why only some sales have that?
Bryan
Do you means sales through a third party distributor, who also takes a cut?
Sultanpepa
Distribution sales are sales made from companies other than Alamy but they are partners with. Both Alamy and the partner take a cut of the fee.
CHP
For only those images licensed through a distributor, its the distributor's cut. Should be 40%. Then Alamy and the contributor split the remainder 50/50. Clarence
fotoDogue
Distributors are other agencies, usually in other countries, that license Alamy images. When they license an image they take a 40% commission. Then Alamy takes a 30% commission in addition to that. If you're seeing this then you must've opted into the distributor plan at some point. When Alamy licenses an image directly to a client you receive 50% If you don't want your Alamy images to be distributed by other agencies then you can opt-out in April. Check your Dashboard under "Additional Revenue Options."
AlessandraRC
This makes sense, since the images in question were never zoomed in and I cannot find the keywords that led the customers to them. Thanks.
