Ryan T
I have been shooting various subjects for a long time, and wanted to try to get into "stock" photography, not wanting to make a living at it, just want to subsidize my "habit"

Gurcharan
Welcome Ryan For most of us, I am sure, RF is just an extension of our hobby, not a primary source of income (which my experience builds up as you have increasing number of images online). RF, I find has positive scope. A few decades earlier if you have to publish a book/paper, you had to seek permission of the author who has published that image earlier, and sometimes it was a long drawn process. Now with huge collection of RF images online, which can be easily bought for nominal price, you don't have to beg for permission. I have more than 15 books, and more than 45 research papers, but in my most recent book "Know your Fruits and Vegetable: Cucurbits", I simply purchase about 15 images through RF websites. I hope you will enjoy your Alamy experience.
