File rejected

Recommended Posts

200Mb (pixel dimensions of course).  This is the third time I have answered this question in about a month mainly because it is hard to find where this is stated in the Alamy guidance. It's definitely there somewhere (or it was) but I can never remember where it is.

A tiny crop off that should do it. I've been looking for the guidance where this is stated but can't find it. It should really be in the Prepare Images section but it's invisible to me.

Alamy also stipulates that compressed file size must not be bigger than 25MB.

http://www.alamy.com/contributor/help/news-picture-guidelines.asp

That 25Mb file size limit is not enforced (at least for stock images - I don't know about news as I've never submitted news images) unlike the 200Mb limit which is rejected at upload stage. Some cameras (e.g, D800) orutinely produce images that when saved as high quality JPEG  are >25Mb on disk.

Ah ha, spot on Thanks.

SFL, I must need new specks. I can't see the reference in that link, :)

Edit I do need new specks, lol. Misread your quote.

It's under heading of 'Quality control and technical criteria'.

So in summary Max 200MB (uncompressed) but also Max 25MB (compressed)

Edit:  I was simply pointing to the new guideline.
