Exclusive content image sold - Deduction / Commission still 80% ?

orest

Question

Dear all, I have a question to this image:

Alamy Image ID: P93J0P
License: RM

This image was sold for 39.60$ (Usage: Consumer goods, Media: Calendar, Print run: up to 1,000, Placement: Inside) but it seems that I earn 9.50$ only.

I only sell this image at Alamy Webseite, my QC level is three stars so (as far as I understand the whole thing) its should be an "exclusive" image that belongs to "Alamy Platinum" payment method which is 50/50.
Am I missing something?
Why is the commission / deduction so high?

Thanks and Kind Regards
Orest

Thanks yes its Gold.

But why?

All my images are RM and exclusive to Alamy.

I have three stars for quality control.

In the Alamy Commission Table they say: Alamy Platinum* -> *Applicable only to Content that is Exclusive to Alamy when qualifying criteria met.

The qualifying criteria for 50% is gross sales over $25k in the previous year.

Hi Orest

This is probably sold through a third party agency which takes a 40% distributor commission.
The calculation will be:

Sale: $39.60
Distributor commision 40%: -$15.84 = Balance $23.76
Alamy commission 60% of $23.76 = $14.26
Your commission 40% $23.76 = $9.50

Percentages of gross sales price are:
Distributor: 40%
Alamy: 36%
Photographer: 24%

You will no doubt note that you are at the bottom of the food chain despite the fact your photograph is created and all rights owned by you.

From your contributor dashboard click on account settings, it will clarify what your contract is, I suspect it is Alamy gold not platinum. Your contract will explain how you are paaid.
