Yes, you can crop.

You can also do touching up like removing dust spots (in fact it is essential) and adjusting saturation, brightness, contrast, lightening shadows, adjusting highlights etc., but sharpening isn't a good idea.

Thanks,

Also they need to be larger than 3000 x 2000 pixels (6MP) (i.e. don't crop too much!) and you should upload them as sRGB but if you don't they will be converted to that anyway. Be a bit carefu with noise if you've set it to high ISO though your modern APS-C camera shouldn't have too much of a problem with that I imagine.

Thanks for the input...

I have been shooting Micro Stock & selling on another site (SS)...

I shot some Katrina hurricane shots with my Canon 20D, hope they will be accepted here as they sell good...

Have a Canon 80D & 40D (back-up)...

I like to shoot a clean pic but will have to look into Lightroom...

OK, good luck, but as John says be super careful about dust/sensor spots, particularly in skies of course. QC is very slow at the moment, weeks, due to the pandemic.

You will probably find that images that sold well on SS do not do as well here.  And sales are not as frequent. I have images up that have been digitally altered.  Alamy used to require you to state that in the image, but doesn't anymore.

Any images submitted through Live news can not be altered in any way.  Alamy checks for technical issues only.  They do not reject images based on subject.

Check you images at 100% and make sure the main subject is in focus.

this is not a Micro Stock agency.  The market here is different, and buyers are generally looking for different type of images
