sooth
when the live news desk is closed at night, the phone number transfers over to the personal mobile phone of the news desk team. they do get calls at 2am GMT in the morning

sooth
now I did try and email the news desk a few months ago and was sort of in the same boat. I got no reply to email, and no reply to the phone. finally after emailing some other people, they did an investigation and found some faults in the email and phone system; basically they were telling me their email system failed (no record of email being received), and phone system failed at the same time. I did get through the phone and leave a voice mail, but apparently they never received the voice mail and didn't know where that voice message disappeared to; the SOP would be that phone calls would be rerouted to personal mobiles after hours. they told me they would forward what happened in my case to their IT department for investigation. don't know what happened afterwards.
Regis
Ok, I finally got a woman whose name start with an A on the phone. She was very helpful and my photographs have now been uploaded. It was some photographs about ANZAC Day in Australia in time of pandemic. Thank you A. And thank you to all the people who replied to this thread. Have a good day, Regis

Yes ANZAC Day is usually a pretty big affair around here. But this year because of the virus, most public commemorations were cancelled. Instead people stood at the end of their own driveway, and the ones who could played The Last post on brass instruments. I don't know if this as any chance to sell in UK, but for us Australian, it is an important event. I was surprised. I know it's been big everywhere, I've seen pictures from my friends up in Cairns with candles and homemade wreaths on their driveway.
