M.Chapman
Any ideas for keywords for this image? Is it sedimentary rock "mashed up" by metamorphic action? It was located on the shores of Kiloran bay on the Isle of Colonsay, Scotland, UK. Thanks in advance.

M.Chapman
This could be useful reading Cheers, Philippe Thanks Philippe, That's cracked it! The author mentions the exact bit of rocks I photographed. Both in the photo I posted originally (which is apparently a volcanic breccia of sedimentary rock) and the photo below which is volcanic lamprophyre dyke penetrating sedimentary rock volcanic breccia.
