Rob C
I'm sure this question has been asked before, so I'm sorry if it's old ground for some. Having found a number of my images (non Alamy) being used without permission on commercial sites in the UK and overseas, what course of action would you recommend in seeking financial recompense for the useage? PatrioticAlien
Take screenshots and log as much information e.g. website who its owned by (use whois) where the images are page number\location as much as you can. First check with alamy\who ever else you sell with fast. If they confirm they are not licensed send them a cease and desist including a nice bill If they refuse to pay 1) threaten to issue a CCJ against them, and if they still say no, do it Or if the license is if worth more just hire a lawer in the IP field. spacecadet
Don't send a bill. It limits your claim. In the UK, folllow the EPUK advice. http://www.epuk.org/opinion/stolen-photographs-what-to-do?pg=4 Then it's off to the small claims track of the IPEC. Overseas do a search on the forum. Imagerights and the like will take on some commercial infringements for a fee.

spacecadet
Indeed, word about the small claims track must have got round. Certainly if anyone consults a solicitor they're being told the facts of life.
