Allan Bell
Is it necessary to have a model release for a deceased person? By way of explanation, I have images which include my father-in-law, now deceased, going back before the digital era that I have digitised and may wish to upload to Alamy. His wife and other immediate family including his only child, my wife, are also deceased but there are four grandchildren left, so would it be necessary to obtain a release from them? spacecadet
The Alamy guidance says yes, surprisingly http://www.alamy.com/contributor/help/image-releases.asp
dov makabaw
The quick answer is yes. It is down to the executors of the estate. As it is in the family this hopefully will be easy to arrange. dov
Allan Bell
Many thanks for your replies Mark and dov. I think I may leave the images as RM and let the customer sort them out. Allan Oh heck! I'm sorry gents I was intending to give you both a greenie but messed up somehow. Will someone reading this thread make it right by giving Mark and dov greenies?
