I used to sell a fair few written articles to AG back in the 80's and 90's and, since joining Alamy, have sold a lot of photos, including for front covers. Their fees were never high - but they did pay for each usage so it's been common to see multiple licences for the same image in their monthly reporting. They will be missed.
