As per your contract, there is only one way:

Termination

1. You may terminate this Contract:
   1. on 45 days’ prior written notice to Alamy at any time;

and note the 45 days is just when all your images will be removed from searches, sales can still happen after, especially with rumoured (unconfirmed, not denied) practice of yearly reporting from some distributors.

Can the termination notice be sent in an email. ie. Is that classed as written or must it be in the form of a letter to the company HQ?

From two people (in an other forum) who have very recently closed their accounts here, an email will suffice.
