Help with pottery ID

Any archaeological experts here can identify this pot, can't find anything like it even with a google image search.

In the algarve Portugal. found during excavations of Castro Marim Castle. Could be Roman or Medieval.

No problem finding images, can you remember what section it's in? It doesn't look like any Roman pot I've ever seen, the quality's very poor too- the Roman way of making pottery was lost in the Dark Ages. It's certainly no amphora.

There's not too much wrong with the caption as-is. However Ana Margarida Arruda has taken the history of the area back to Phoenician times. But it doesn't look Phoenician either.

You could try an email to Castro Marim- I found a contact on their website. Might need to polish up your Portuguese though.
