We've moved to France

All that is on the mount dated August 1971 is "La Bourboule". There are four or five similar ones of this procession

Would this be a Bastille day event in a village called La Bourboule?

From this the next shot is Nr Mont Dore so I assume that we are in area of " the Puy-de-Dôme department in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in central France".

Well done.

I think I prefer the painted houses.

Does anybody recognise this? The slide has 'Vienne' written on it - the last one in a sequence of Vienne.

After this is a sequence of Troyes which is FAR away from Vienne. I can't see anything in either town.

So some place between Vienne and Troyes were they stopped for a break? - but there are lots of places in between!

Got it. Somehow posting here makes my brain work more clearly....

Sorry for wasting your time. Thought I'd leave it as is rather than having mysterious 'Deleted' messages.
