Joseph Clemson
I'm not a bird expert but I suspect an immature Herring Gull. It will help the proper experts if you can say where and when the image was taken.
Mr Standfast
Looks like the one that stole my chips!
Ed Rooney
I've got a lot of Herring gull snaps in that green square, Joesph. This bird has many differences and to me looks rather large for an immature bird. ??? I know almost as little about birds as I do about gardens. There are Herring gulls and Black-headed gulls and ravens and pigeons and some smaller black crows in Eyre Square. Any and all would be happy to share your chips, James. FLASH! That is, in fact, an immature Herring gull! Thanks, Joesph.
