What to shoot in Poznan.

Hi all, off to Poznan Poland for a long weekend next weekend just wondered if any of you have been to this city and what to shoot, also any suggestions for a day out around 1 hour journey would be good, would not mind a trip into the countryside, thanks

I know nothing about the town, but there are several searches under Poznan and % Poznan in AoA in the past year which might give you some ideas.

I don't know about trips out, but the old town is charming and there are many great fountains, memorials, etc. I also enjoyed just wandering the streets, like I do everywhere in Europe!

Countryside ...... about an hour and a half away, the Ujście Warty National Park may be of interest (towards the German border). An area notable for birdlife, a largely flat area and very green. The River Warta passes thru.

I had a very brief visit to Poznan 18 months or so ago. Spent most of it either in a taxi, a lorry, or in a police station, before crossing the border in to Germany , but did note that the area outside of Poznan is quite flat, lots of woodland. The ravioli dumpling stuffed with cheese and vegetables was very nice too.
